uMobile POS app for iPhone and iPad

uMobile POS is a fully PCI compliant mobile point-of-sale system powered by UniteU. Designed to leverage UniteU’s PCI compliant ecommerce transaction engine and optimized for convenient and secure in-person checkout. uMobile POS combines a dedicated scan and swipe device directly to an iPad. Accept credit card payments anywhere.

UniteU uMobile POS supports the following operational functionality:

• Easy swipe of cards or manual entry of damaged cards
• Checkout and return functionality
• Scan barcode or QR code to add item to cart
• Manual search for SKU or product name to add items to cart
• Ability to remove or adjust quantity of items in cart
• Apply discount codes with UniteU’s Advanced Promotions module
• Automatically calculate taxes
• Capture shopper’s email during checkout
• Cancel checkout (clears cart, initiates new transaction)
• Authorize and bill shopper’s credit card using card present rates.

• Full cycle PCI DSS encryption of credit card data integrated into PCI SRED swipe reader

UniteU uMobile POS supports the following configuration settings:
• Location information (used for tax calculations)
• GL Code
• Terminal Id
• Service endpoint (for connecting to UniteU)
• Staging or Production mode


Version 1.1 includes:

• During checkout allow for the capturing of shopper’s signature and their email opt-in preference.
• Print shopping and return receipts (with compatible Infinite Peripherals Bluetooth Enabled Printer).
• Scan receipt to process returns.
• Scan QR Code and display link in Safari.
• When the application goes into the background a local notification is set to remind that user that their session is about to expire.

Version 1.2 includes:

• Added support for Cash tender, Gift Card tender, and split tender including Credit Cards, Gift Cards, and Cash. Tender types are also fully supported for returns.
• Added support for Price Overrides (requires the Price Override Manager role for the user).
• Added display of aggregate inventory in the SKU list view.
• Added support for portrait mode.

Version 1.3 includes:

• Streamlined Credit Card Swipe Checkout Process.
• Added support for complete order void.
